Welcome to the world of Agentic AP Automation for D365 Finance. We spent time and focus creating this  for a simple reason: AI in AP needs structure to work reliably.

There’s a lot of momentum around AI right now, and the progress is real. Models can read invoices, extract data, and even make decisions. In controlled cases, the results are strong. But when you try to apply that in actual AP processes, things get inconsistent.

Most approaches still rely on increasingly long prompts to handle complexity. Add more instructions. Cover more edge cases. Try to anticipate every scenario. And it works — until it doesn’t.

As inputs grow, context gets diluted and earlier rules get ignored. Outputs start to vary and you get something that looks automated but still needs constant oversight.

It’s not a model problem. It’s a structure problem.

AP isn’t one decision. It’s a series of decisions, each with its own rules, dependencies, and exceptions. Vendors and situations differ. That variability is normal, not an edge case.

Trying to compress all of that into a single layer of AI logic doesn’t reflect how the process actually works. And that’s where reliability breaks down.

Not to add more features, but to bring a structured way to apply AI in invoice processing step by step, with control over how decisions are made.

The goal is consistency and predictability.

Because AI on its own is powerful. But in finance, it needs to be structured to be trusted.
