Nashville, booth 903, and a week with the Dynamics community

Community Summit NA 2026 is now behind us, and the Dooap team is back home with full notebooks, sore feet, and plenty to follow up on.

For one week in October, the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville turned into the center of the Microsoft Dynamics world. Summit brought together 600+ education sessions from 500+ speakers, 30+ hands-on workshops, and, this being Nashville, a night at the Grand Ole Opry.

We were there in force. Eleven of us from Dooap spent the week at booth 903, in session rooms, and at partner events, talking with Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management customers and the partners who serve them. Here's what stood out:

At the booth: AI agents went from buzzword to buying question

If one theme ran through Summit this year, it was AI agents. Microsoft's own message to the community was that humans and agents can work side by side, and that set the tone on the expo floor too.

At booth 903, the questions we heard most were practical ones that showed the Dynamics space is ready to adopt proven AI that meaningfully helps their finance teams. Some of these were:

  • How do we automate invoice coding without handing our process over to IT?

  • Can we trust an AI decision if we can't see how it was made?

  • What does this look like inside Dynamics 365 Finance, not next to it?

  • How can AI handle GL coding, PO matching, and tax and fraud checks?

  • How do we improve our vendor communications?

These are exactly the questions Dooap Studio was built to answer, and the demo screen at our booth stayed busy all week.

On stage: two sessions, two big ideas

Our showcase session: Meet Your New AP Teammates: AI Agents for Dynamics 365 Finance

On Wednesday afternoon, Ina Myllykoski, AI Solution Consultant, and Scott Schlegel, Director of Sales and Partnerships, took the stage at the Vertex Frontier Partner Pavilion.

Their message was simple: rules-based automation has taken AP as far as it can. Agentic automation is the next step. Instead of waiting on IT to write and maintain rules, finance teams configure AI agents themselves, in plain business language, and can see exactly why every decision was made.

A big thank you to Vertex for hosting us in the Pavilion.

Education session: Community Is the New Revenue Funnel

Sam Bush, Dooap's CMO, co-presented an education session with Kate Coffey-Bacon, SVP Marketing and Strategy at US Transcorp., on why micro-communities now shape B2B buying decisions more than any funnel stage.

The room had a mix of partners, ISVs, and customers. The core argument: buyers trust peers before they trust vendors, so community is no longer a nice-to-have. It's where pipeline starts. Sam and Kate closed with a practical framework for tying community activity to measurable revenue.

After hours: where the partner community really connects

Some of the best conversations at Summit happen once the expo hall closes.

Partner Supper Club: On Sunday night, before the show floor opened, we co-hosted the Partner Supper Club with Corpay, Versapay, and Vertex at the Conservatory Wine Bar inside the Gaylord Opryland. It's intentionally small and partners-only: a table of people who implement and sell Dynamics 365 every day, talking about what their customers actually need.

Club F&SCM: On Monday, the energy moved to The Nashville Palace for Club F&SCM, the after-hours party for the Finance & Supply Chain community that we co-hosted with Binary Stream, CADtalk, Corpay, Eftsure, Versapay, and Vertex.

Both nights were a reminder of something we believe at Dooap: in the Dynamics world, community isn't a side activity. It's how the work gets done.

Thank you, Nashville. See you in Columbus!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by booth 903, sat in on our sessions, or shared a table with us. Thanks also to Dynamic Communities for another great Summit, and to our partners at Vertex, Corpay, Versapay, and the Club F&SCM co-hosts.

Summit is heading to Columbus next year, and we'll be there. We hope to see you there, too!
